Are you strictly a Catholic Non-Profit Organization?
The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House is a non-profit ecumenical ministry, in collaboration with other social service providers, serving as a central, first-stop resource for those in need of day and night time shelter essential services.
Can anyone stay at Bishop Dudley House?
The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House offers “Open Doors and Open Arms” to people who are in need of emergency shelter. Guests must be able to “self-care.” That means they must be able to get themselves into and out of bed, be able to shower, use the restroom on their own, complete daily cleaning tasks, and get to The Banquet feeding ministry (which is across the street) for meals. All guests must adhere to our rules of treating the staff and other guests with dignity and respect.
What donations do you accept?
The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House accepts various donations such as hygiene items, food items, and essential supplies. Check out our current wish list on our Items Needed page. Donations may be dropped off between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. seven days a week.
How many family units do you have at the facility and how many can each room accommodate?
The facility is equipped with 7 secured, individual family rooms that contain 2 queen size beds, 1 dresser, 1 desk, 1 chair and a private bathroom. Each family room can accommodate up to 5 family members. More info about our Family Program can be found on our Programs & Services page.
Is there a length of stay policy for the guests that you serve?
During the cold weather months, we will not enforce a length of stay policy. During the warm weather months, the guests will have a 30-day length of stay. The length of stay may be extended as long as the guest is working toward self improvement goals and meets with our Case Manager. More info is provided on our Programs & Services page.
What are some of the services that are offered at the facility?
All of the services provided by the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House are free of charge to the patrons we serve on a daily basis. These services include laundry, showers, computer access, telephone access, coffee, hygiene kits, and a light lunch. For a small fee, a guest can have access to an individual locker which is located in our day rooms. If the guest cannot afford a locker, they may do a chore exchange to earn a locker.

Does your facility offer volunteer opportunities?
